Microsoft Wireless Mouse 4000 Battery Life

E-mail Print PDF

The first battery for my Microsoft Wireless Mouse 4000 finally died. It lasted almost 8 months. The mouse had a red LED that lit up to let me know the battery was getting low. I'm still happy with the mouse. It isn't a high end gaming mouse, but it does well enough and is very portable.

Hi there, I check your blog regularly. Your story-telling style is witty, keep up
the good work!

I'm not sure why but this site is loading incredibly slow for me.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my
end? I'll check back later and see if the problem still exists.

It's on a blue surface and won't work properly on a white surface. Battery life two days. Really annoying.

My battery is lasting only about 2 days. I always turn of the power button.

How long do you guys use the mouse each day? I'm surprised to see such a huge difference. I'm still on my second battery.

Are you leaving it on any kind of odd or reflective surface (just trying to think of possible causes)?

You're lucky.

Mine is lasting 14 days at most and it is very annoying! Also the wheel seems overly sensitive to my mind. Would never buy another ME mouse
